PTA President's Corner

Thank you Dana Gorman for organizing staff appreciation week! She has gift cards for the entire staff to choose from on Thursday and food trucks the rest of the week. It's going to be an amazing week. The PTA is very grateful for our HWE community and the generous donations from our families that allowed us to be able to provide these special treats. Look for pictures on the PTA Facebook page to see the events going on throughout the week!

 

Food Truck Fundraiser:

On Monday in the school parking lot from 4pm to 5pm, there will be a mobile ice cream & milkshake truck. For every purchase made, 20% will be given to HWE 5th grade class. All money raised will help them pay for their end of the year celebration. Get dessert for the family and help our 5th graders, it’s a win win!

 

WLCSD Bond:

Don't forget to go to your regular voting location on Tuesday and vote. Here's the link to the district bond information site.

 

Tuesday PTA Meeting:

Join us this Tuesday at 7pm in the media center for our last meeting of the year!

 

Dine to Donate:

On Thursday, head to Biggby Coffee on the corner of Welch and Maple. They are donating $1 to HWE for every coffee bought all day long!

 

Volleyball Game:

On May 15th Hickory Woods staff is playing Walled Lake Elementary staff in a game of volleyball. Join us at Geisler Middle School at 6pm to watch the game. Let's support our staff by showing up and cheering the loudest! A $3 entry fee is suggested at the door. All profits are being donated to the nonprofit Making Spirits Bright. Please note it is not mandatory to pay at the door. Everyone is welcome!
